Career Advancement Cell

MECRC has a Career Advancement Cell, run under the leadership of Prof. B.P Jain (Professor & Head, Mechanical Engineering Department). It became effective from July'07 and started planning for the various activities that were to be held henceforth.

The details of various activities under the aegis of CAC:

  1. Career Guidance Programmes:

    The first career guidance programme was held for the final year students of all the engineering branches on 16th Oct'07. Since then, every year such career guidance programmes are organized for B.Tech. III Year & B.Tech. Final Year students.

    A plethora of information related to various career options after graduation is given to the students in a lucid style.

    The list includes:
    • Higher Education (Technical) in India->GATE
    • Higher Education (Technical) Abroad->GRE/TOEFL
    • Higher Education (Management) in India->CAT, JMET, NMIMS, IIFT, IBSAT, SNAP, XAT, MAT, RMAT, TISS, CET, ATMA, TAPMI, NLU-PG
    • Higher Education (Management) Abroad->GMAT/TOEFL,IELTS
    • The sessions proved to be very informative and interesting and made the students aware of other career options that could be taken up after the completion of their graduation degree.
  2. 23rd & 27th February, 2010: A 2-day seminar on "Phonetics & correct usage of words in English Language"
  3. 11th November, 2009: National Education Day was celebrated on the occasion of birthday of Dr. Abdul Kalam Azad, Former President, India. On this occasion, an ESSAY-WRITING competition & a SLOGAN-WRITING competition were also held.
  4. 14th October, 2009: On the occasion of Diwali Celebration, a debate and an essay-writing competition were held for the students.
  5. 14th September, 2009: One-day seminar on "Technical Education-Vision 2020"
  6. 1st July, 2009: A thought-provoking seminar on "Excellence in Technical Education-Role of Stakeholders"
  7. 8th October, 2008: A one-day Seminar on "New horizons in Science & Technology"

List of activities organized every year

  • Informative seminars about various competitive examinations (GATE, CAT, MAT, IIFT, FMS, ICFAI, SNAP, NMIMS, IELTS, GRE, TOEFL, GMAT, etc.) for pursuing higher education (M. Tech./MBA/MS) are organized every year for the students of B. Tech. III Year. Due to our unwavering efforts & motivation, many of our students have gone abroad to pursue higher education, thus giving wings to their dreams.
  • The students are guided to prepare for PSUs, Banking Services Exams, etc.
  • A motivational talk is delivered by Prof. M.L Mathur, Retired Vice Chancellor (JNVU, Jodhpur).
  • A series of lectures based on Personality Development is delivered by Prof. R.R. Bhandari (Former Member, Railway Board).
  • A few knowledge imparting lectures are delivered by Dr. O.P.N Kalla, Director (International Centre for Radio Science).

We are quite sure that this cell is working efficiently for the benefit & all-round development of our students and will leave no stone unturned to help our students in every possible way, no matter what!
