  2. POST- MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP FOR SC/ST/OBC

In social development, social welfare is an important field. The Development implies a progressive change from the existing situation to a new situation through development of a social structure with equal opportunities for every segment of the society. The Social Justice & Empowerment Department in Rajasthan has mainly concentrated its programmes towards the educational and socio-economic development of the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes alongwith welfare of handicapped, destitute and needy children, women and aged persons.

MECRC has a special department that is efficiently working from last 3 years for social welfare. Its main aim is to motivate & support the weaker sections of our society by providing them SOCIAL JUSTICE & EMPOWERMENT DEPARTMENT SCHOLARSHIP from Govt. of Rajasthan, Jaipur.

As a matter of fact, there are many students who are talented but are unable to give wings to their dreams due to the economic conditions of their families. Realizing the potential and need of such students, we provide a pretty good number of scholarships so that the talented students could get the platform to accomplish their goals, thereby bringing a good name to their parents as well as to their college.

For academic session 2009-2010, we recommended 50 scholarships for ST, SC, & OBC categories.

Perhaps we have already sent a proposal for more no. of scholarships for the session 2010-2011, and we genuinely expect that more number of students will be able to grab the advantage this year and even in future.

We believe that Education should not be at the disposal of money .Our Social Welfare Department tries its level best to help the deprived students by supporting them financially through SJED Scholarship.

  3. MERIT-CUM-MEANS SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR MINORITY COMMUNITIES

The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists & Parsis) to enable them to pursue professional and technical courses. The scheme aims to empower the minority communities by assisting the economically weaker sections of students among them through coaching institutions for enhancing their skills and capabilities to make them employable in industries, services and business sectors in addition to the government sector.
